ABOUT US

Our Mission

Northland Camp & Conference Center is a non-profit organization that is committed to meeting the needs of the local church through Christian camping. Our camp verse expresses our desire to see each camper take another spiritual step as he/she enjoys an exciting program.

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him
—Colossians 2:6

CAMP MISSIONS STATEMENT

Northland Camp & Conference Center exists to glorify God by supporting local churches and helping campers take another step spiritually. We seek to accomplish this goal by:

  • Providing a concentration of God’s Word through expositional and exhortational preaching, teaching, and counseling

  • Discipling and training a committed staff to grow in and model Christ-likeness

  • Utilizing a creative, appropriate program for a variety of age groups

  • Furnishing a safe and controlled environment where campers can fellowship, grow, and have fun

THE NORTHLAND TEAM

We are thankful for the team of exemplary people that God has given to us. Each of us is committed to serve and love every individual that spends time at Northland!

Our facility, one of the most developed on the Christian camping scene, can comfortably accommodate hundreds of campers while having access to hundreds of acres of woodland, lakes, hiking trails, a river, and one of the darkest night skies in the Midwest.

OUR FACILITIES

Northland Camp and Conference Center, formerly known as Northland Mission Camp, is the result of God's blessing on the life of Dr. Paul Patz (1911-2000) and his family. Born as the ninth of ten children into a life of poverty, Paul trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at age 17. Paul would later recall developing a perplexing burden after his conversion. He felt God calling him into a ministry but was unsure what God could do through a poor farmer with only a third-grade education. As he pondered these things, he continued working the family farm through the dark days of the Great Depression.

OUR HISTORY

Starting with the passion of a young farm boy, God has developed a ministry that has touched thousands of campers' lives, trained hundreds of college graduates for ministry, and influenced many around the world. Beginning in 1948, Paul Patz developed a series of inventions that would revolutionize the farming industry and lead to his financial success. He eventually founded Patz Sales, Inc., which has been consistently manufacturing quality farm machinery for over 60 years.
